Paulo Bragança presented his new work ‘Adriano80’, in the auditorium of the Fado Museum, which was filled with fans to receive it.
Paulo Bragança with more than 30 years of career, embarked on a new challenge and presented the first, of two albums, dedicated to the life and work of singer Adriano Correia de Oliveira.
‘Adriano80‘, the first album, released on June 10th, in the year Adriano would have been exactly 80 years old, the second has its release date set for October 16th, which marks the 40th anniversary of his death.
Paulo Bragança, who considers Adriano Correia de Oliveira to be one of the last great poets, chose themes such as ‘Rosinha‘, ‘A noite dos poetas‘, ‘Minha mãe‘, ‘Menina dos olhos tristes‘, ‘Erguem-se muros‘, ‘Canção com lágrimas‘ and ‘As mãos‘, for this album, covering various moments in the career and work of Adriano Correia de Oliveira.
But not only themes from the new album were presented at the concert, ‘Soldado‘ lyrics and music by Francisco José Resende, from Sitiados, in the words of the fado singer, “one of my great friends” and which is part of the album ‘Cativo‘ or ‘Remar Remar‘ from the album ‘Mistério do Fado‘, written by Xutos e Pontapés, were high moments of the concert, to which the audience dedicated huge applause.
Paulo Bragança said goodbye with a wish “that it be the first of many concerts” let’s hope so, the fado singer and the work full of “jewels“, by Adriano Correia de Oliveira, deserve to be remembered and heard.
