Brand of Portuguese olive oil voted the best in the world
In 2019, Oliveira da Serra is once again voted the best olive oil in the world! The brand returned to the podium of the most prestigious and internationally renowned olive oil competition – Mario Solinas Quality Award, where it ranked first in the Light Green Fruity category.
[dropcap type=”background”]T[/dropcap]his distinction is the result of the enormous passion and dedication that has led to the sustained growth of the brand. Oliveira da Serra believes and bets on Portuguese agriculture, olive oil quality, development and innovation.
The Mario Solinas 2019 Extra Virgin Olive Oil Quality Competition is organized by the International Olive Oil Council (IOC). In this edition, among the 164 oils in the contest, from 13 producing countries, 37 Portuguese olive oils participated.
The first prizes of this contest were chosen by an international panel of jury tasters who classified the oils according to their olfactory, gustatory and retronasal sensations. In addition to observing other positive organoleptic characteristics such as fruity, bitter and spicy, the oils with more complexity, persistence and harmony are also highlighted.
Also in this contest, Oliveira da Serra was a finalist with first and second places also in the category of Light Green Fruity.
