Portuguese KWAN «on the way to Mars» exceeds growth targets and is recruiting

supporting young talents

In an environment of strong technological evolution and growth, KWAN – a Portuguese company specialising in outsourcing and nearshoring of technological profiles – reveals that during this year it has already acquired 17 new clients, both nationally and internationally, from various sectors of activity, and therefore is creating more management teams that it is hiring for.

With two units created within the Business Management team, the Portuguese company is preparing to open another at the beginning of next year. In 2024, the outsourcing company intends to consolidate its position as a trusted partner and specialist in bringing together the best professionals for challenging projects that have an impact both on their careers and on the world. As such, it intends to add up to eight new elements to its operations team.

Wanting to reach 500 consultants by 2026, KWAN sets quarterly objectives and in the third quarter of this year it intended to have 240 consultants, a number that was surpassed. The more than 270 consultants today are due not only to the hiring of new professionals, but also to the retention of talent, and the monitoring and mentoring work carried out by the team of People Managers, which also continues to grow.

“At KWAN we follow the thought that to present our best work and to be able to see results that have a positive impact, each person needs to be in the right project and carry it out. That’s why one of our goals is to associate our best technological talents with meaningful projects that truly match their skills, professional experience, motivations and adaptations to personal life needs”, highlights Duarte Fernandes, co-founder and COO of KWAN.

As part of its “Road to Mars” plan, which extends until 2026 and argues that technology helps build a bright future, KWAN this year supported the IST student team, RED (Rocket Experiment Division), which achieved an honourable second place in the demanding European university competition EuRoC 2023 for launching mini-rockets, organized by the Portuguese Space Agency, with the support of the Portuguese Army, and held in October in Constância. In addition to being runner-up for the second consecutive year, the Portuguese team also won, with its Camões, the Payload award, which distinguished the scientific experiment that best-collected data on the behaviour of bodies (cells, bacteria and microbes) during and after the rocket flight, that is, the innovation of the cargo carried.

“Being at EuRoC and seeing the dedication, commitment and enthusiasm of more than 500 students, from 14 countries, for technology confirms that the next generation of professionals is more than talented, it is a generation that gets their hands dirty and wants to make the difference! We, at KWAN, are here to support and boost these future professionals. Our goal is for them to develop with us, to learn a lot and to realize their potential to the fullest so that, together, we can contribute to building a bright future”, adds Duarte Fernandes.
