Indie Music Fest

Indie Music Fest, one of the most anticipated independent music festivals in Portugal, revealed several exciting news for this year’s edition, during a presentation event that was an absolute success.

Luxury Lineup
The festival returns on September 4, 5 and 6, 2025 and will feature the presence of iconic bands and emerging artists from the national independent scene. Already confirmed are Tendency, Sullen, Mango Lemon, Rui Taipa, Garajau and Samalandra. This year, we continue our mission to highlight the best of independent music, bringing an eclectic mix of emerging talent and established artists. We will have 32 artists, including bands, DJs and exhibition artists, offering a variety of genres and styles for all tastes. We are particularly excited about the presence of the first confirmed that will undoubtedly create unforgettable moments, and we are already finalizing the headlines that we will announce at the end of this year and throughout 2025.

New Space
The location of the festival has a new home in the heart of Baltar surrounded by nature, with the valence of having a small natural amphitheatre under trees, and the hill of the cruise as background. The camping area will be 90% under trees with a capacity for 1000 tents. Showers and toilets will also be improved with more modern equipment. Each stage will have a unique thematic curatorship, ranging from alternative rock to experimental electronics.

Immersive Experiences
Indie Music Fest 2025 will introduce interactive areas and immersive experiences such as art installations, music production workshops and autograph sessions with artists.

Sustainability
Committed to sustainability, the festival will implement rigorous ecological practices, including reducing single-use plastics, recycling stations and partnering with local food and beverage companies to promote the circular economy.

Summary of the Presentation Event
The presentation event of the return of Indie Music Fest held on 29 June 2024 at the new Centro Cultural de Paredes, was a real success. Bringing together the press, artists and fans, the evening was marked by an atmosphere of enthusiasm and anticipation with the performances of Couto, Manga Limão and Dj Tendency.

The guests were presented with the exclusive acoustic presentation of Rui Taipa, preceded by one of the festival’s organizers, Tiago Nalha, who detailed the new initiatives and the new venue of the event, as well as the announcement of the first confirmed bands for the festival.

This was followed by the intervention of the Mayor of Paredes, Alexandre Almeida to share the partnership with Indie Music Fest and to talk about the new space of the CCP, the small auditorium, which was inaugurated at this event. An important novelty is this partnership with CMP, which will allow us to improve the festival experience and offer additional services to visitors. Undoubtedly, it is the best news to put the IMF at the next level.

We will launch a band contest that will visit 5 cities in promotion of the festival and also give opportunity to new bands to play at an IMF event. This competition will have a top jury regarding the music industry in Portugal. The first stage and the final will be held in Paredes.

The first 200 general passes with the Camping and offer of a t-shirt of the festival and welcome kit, will be on sale on September 1 at bol.pt and in the usual places for the value of 15 euros until September 15. There will be 4 more purchase phases with other prices.

15 September to 31 December: 20 euros

Daily tickets will cost 20 euros for Thursday; and 25 euros for Friday and Saturday.

In 2025, we will make a significant effort to improve the festival’s infrastructure in this new home
We have implemented new camping areas, with more amenities and options for all tastes, from basic areas to premium spaces. We have increased the capacity of the catering areas, with a greater diversity of food options and amenities.

In addition, we are reinforcing our security measures, with more control points and an additional security team to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festival with peace of mind. We also introduced more recycling stations and environmental awareness programs, aligned with our sustainability commitment.

This year, we are investing heavily in communication campaigns that reflect the essence of Indie Music Fest. We’re launching a series of exclusive content on social media, including interviews with artists, backstage and Highlights from past editions.

To engage our community, we have created the ‘Indie Talents’ contest, where independent bands can submit their songs and have the chance to play at the festival. In addition, we will have several live activities in major cities, where the public can win tickets and exclusive merchandise.

We are working with media partners to ensure that all independent music lovers know what we have planned and join us in this unique celebration.

Closing the day in the small auditorium of CCP, were the brilliant performances of Couto with his guests, the lively Manga Limão and Dj Tendency closing the night with a lot of dance to the mix.
