Samuel Úria’s 2000 A.D. takes over the Coliseu dos Recreios, accompanied by many friends and a lively audience from start to finish at this special concert.
Samuel brought his 2000 A.D. show to the Coliseu stage, featuring some of the best songs ever written in Portugal. “Lenço Enxuto,” “É preciso que eu diminua,” “Teimoso,” “Fica Aquém,” “A Contenção,” “Kuchisabishii,” “Quem me quente a voz,” and “Um adeus português” are just a few of the songs featured this evening.
Samuel Úria built a poetic and musical approach around the imagery of the “year 2000” and the romantic hopes that the arrival of the new century generated at the time. This approach translates into nine memorable tracks, a testament to Samuel’s unusual creativity.
On stage, as he is known for, his songs take on a new dimension: if the new songs have one of their strengths in the cohesion that connects them, their blend with the compositions with which he has intrigued us throughout his career proves that we are in the presence of the most interesting singer-songwriter of the 21st century.
On stage, he featured, in addition to a talented band with many friends, Carol, Gisela João, Milhanas, Manuela Azevedo, Margarida Campêlo, and Velhas Glórias, who made this night at the Lisbon Coliseum even more epic. If you can, don’t miss the show in Porto on October 17th at the Porto Ageas Coliseum; it will be worth it, as the year 2000 has already arrived. And it’s highly recommended!
