Mário Laginha, Ricardo Toscano and António Saiote confirmed at LouresJazz
The festival will take place from July 9th to 11th in that multipurpose space, in Loures, with one performance per day and only with Portuguese artists.
The pianist Mário Laginha performs in a trio on July 9th, followed by saxophonist Ricardo Toscano, in quartet, on the 10th, and the Big Band of Hot Clube de Portugal, on the 11th, with António Saiote as soloist.
The ‘big band’ will play “Groovid”, composed by César Cardoso, who won the first edition of the International Composition Award for Clarinet and Big Band in Loures.
The festival will also feature a show for the youngest, entitled “Jazz is cool!”, An exhibition, a conversation about jazz in Portugal and a point of sale for Portuguese publishers.
