The 24th MEO Sudoeste has new dates for the nostalgia that is already pressing: the return to Herdade da Casa Branca in Zambujeira do Mar is scheduled for the 3rd to the 7th of August 2021, with the opening of the camping on the 31st of July.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he good news is that in 2021 the MEO Stage has already confirmed the performances of four of the most anticipated names for this edition of the Festival. Bad Bunny, Meduza, ProfJam and Bispo set a good example and renew their commitment to the audience of the 24th MEO Sudoeste.
Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny is one of the strongest names in Latin music today. Since entering the scene in 2016, the Puerto Rican singer, rapper and producer has been at the forefront of new trends in urban music with a Latin flavor. And his fame started even before the release of a record, which makes this young musician’s journey even more impressive. Bad Bunny was born in 1994, with the Christian name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio.
Meduza
It is impossible to make a retrospective of the best electronic music made in recent times without mentioning Meduza. It all started with the meeting between three Italian producers. Luke Degree, Matt Madwill and Simon de Jano started working together in 2014 with the aim of creating instrumentals for rap.
After a few years of occasional collaborations, the three friends decided to make things a little more serious when they decided to create this sound heavily influenced by house music, which they christened Meduza in 2018.
ProfJam
ProfJam has been designing one of the most personalized and interesting artistic routes in national hip hop, betting on a posture and a sonority that put him in a championship that is only his.
The rapper started to show up on parallel circuits such as the Knock Out League and debuted in 2014 with the mixtape “The Big Banger Theory”. “Mixtakes” was the next step, a record highlighted as one of the best in 2016 and that included another classic: “Queq Queres”.
In 2018, the rapper launched the themes “Yabba” and “Gwapo” and both reached very expressive numbers on the streaming platforms.
Bispo
From Mem Martins to the whole country, Bispo has gradually gained his space, since in 2003 he decided to take music more seriously, working to be one of the most relevant names in Portuguese hip hop.
After the mixtapes “Recomeço” and “Passo a Passo”, Bispo released “Bispoterapia” in 2014, an EP in collaboration with the producer “Intakto”.
A year later this long-awaited first album of originals, “Since the Origin”, came with the participation of two great names of Portuguese hip hop: Sam the Kid and Maze (Dealema).
