Benfica draws with PSV and qualifies for the Champions League group stage (0-0)
Benfica qualified for the Champions League group stage by drawing 0-0 in Eindhoven with PSV.
The reds played practically one hour reduced to ten. Lucas Veríssimo was shown the yellow card at 8 and 32 minutes and was sent off. The game was marked by a great performance by goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos, who made several decisive saves, as well as good performances by several other units, such as Otamendi and Grimaldo.
Zahavi had the best opportunity of Roger Schmidt’s team when he hit the post in the final stretch of the match.
The reds guarantee 37 million euros with the clearance. Portugal has not had three teams in the group stage since 2017/18.
