Sporting beat Benfica 3-1.
Sporting CP is the winner of the 2020/21 edition of the Portuguese Volleyball Cup in a final played against Benfica.
The derby of the Lisbon teams was well disputed, but the team led by Brazilian Gersinho was superior to the Benfica team and won by the partials of 29-27, 25-20, 16-25 and 28-26
In a match played at the Municipal Pavilion of Santo Tirso, the Lions won their fourth Portuguese Cup, after a series of victories by Benfica, who had lifted the trophy in 2017/18 and 2018/19, in 2019/20, due to the pandemic not being held and has 18 trophies won.
Sporting won the cup in 1991, 1993, 1995 and 2021
