Cape Verde meeting stage of Portuguese schools abroad

Portuguese schools abroad, where 500 teachers teach 6,000 students of various nationalities are meeting until Tuesday in the capital of Cape Verde, with the future of teaching Portuguese language and culture in mind.

[dropcap type=”default”]U[/dropcap]nder the theme ‘Portuguese Language and the Challenges of the Future’, the meeting is an initiative of the Directorate-General for School Administration and the Portuguese School of Cape Verde with the presence of Portuguese schools in the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries and the Special Administrative Region of Macau.

During four days there will be conferences, panels, presentations, reflections and sharing in the Portuguese School.

Some of the topics under discussion are:
“multiculturalism in Portuguese schools abroad”,
“the Portuguese language facing the challenges of the future”,
“innovation, autonomy and curricular flexibility”,
“on the Circum-Navigation Journey route.”
