Carolina Deslandes, Lukas Graham and Jake Bugg confirmed at Rock in Rio Lisboa 20 years

  • Carolina Deslandes takes to Palco Mundo on June 22, the penultimate day of the epic 20th anniversary edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa which already has the confirmations of James and Ivete Sangalo;
  • Lukas Graham and Jake Bugg perform on the second day at Palco Galp, to participate in the festival’s 12-hour party, which on the same day also brings together Ed Sheeran, Calum Scott, Jão and Fernando Daniel;

The 10th edition of Rock In Rio Lisboa will take place on the 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd of June 2024, with a new City of Rock in a new location – Parque Tejo Lisboa.

Three more long-awaited performances are confirmed for the 20th anniversary edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa: Carolina Deslandes debuts on Palco Mundo on June 22nd and Lukas Graham and Jake Bugg perform on Palco Galp on June 16th. The three promise to make the party, which celebrates the festival’s 20th anniversary in Portugal, even more special, on the second and third days of this remarkable edition, filled with big names in national and international music.

Already with a close connection to Rock in Rio, Carolina Deslandes takes another step in her already consolidated career this year: the artist, who is already one of the biggest references of the current generation of Portuguese singers and composers, will perform for the first time on Stage Festival world. In addition to the concerts at Rock in Rio Lisboa in 2018 (at Galp Music Valley) and 2019 (in the commemorative edition of the festival’s 15th anniversary, at Jardins da Torre de Belém), and at Rock in Rio Brasil, also in 2019, alongside From the Brazilian band Melim, Carolina Deslandes will perform in 2024 as the opening act of Palco Mundo, where Ivete Sangalo will perform immediately afterwards, thus giving the best start to the 12 hours of party promised for June 22nd. The first Portuguese pop artist to fill the Altice Arena has followed a meteoric path with astronomical sales and streaming numbers, establishing herself as one of the biggest references not only in the digital universe but in contemporary national music. Author of unmistakable hits, such as “Avião de Papel” and “A Vida Toda” and winner of three Golden Globes in the categories of Song of the Year and Best Acting and a Latin GRAMMY® in the category of Best Long Version Music Video, Carolina continues to sell out theatres across the country. Recently, she released the double album “CAOS / calm”, from which came songs such as “Vai Lá”, “Saia da Carolina” and “Brincar de Ser Feliz”, with which she sold out shows from north to south.

Directly from Denmark, Lukas Graham became one of the first 25 artists to join Spotify’s Billions Club with the hit “7 Years”, a song without a classic pop hook, but with a unique message about family, friendship and ageing. which reached global sales charts and was nominated for a GRAMMY® in 2017 in the categories of Record of the Year and Best Pop Performance by a Duo/Group. The Danish artist continued to win over audiences on a global scale with hits such as “Happy Home” and “Love Someone”, which have touches of pop and soul. In 2024, Lukas Graham promises to delight fans as a headliner on Palco Galp at Rock In Rio Lisboa, where he will present songs from the album “4 (The Pink Album)”, released last year, in a concert that will certainly also feature the hits that everyone will sing on June 16th and that are already expected to be memorable.

British singer-songwriter Jake Bugg rose to prominence with his first album, the self-titled “Jake Bugg”, which reached number 1 in the UK charts in 2012, with well-known songs such as “Lightning Bolt” and “Two Fingers “, being re-released in 2022, in a special edition that celebrates his 10 years of career. Between blues, folk, and some pop rock, the artist has established himself as a notable figure in the contemporary music scene, continuing to share his music with the public through authentic and engaging performances, all over the world. Now ready to take to the Galp Stage at Rock in Rio Lisboa, on June 16th, Jake Bugg will not only present his greatest hits but also debut her latest single “Love Is Something”.

Rock In Rio is the international brand responsible for the biggest music and entertainment event in the world. The new Cidade do Rock will feature a new stage, a new Route 85 and a new space that will celebrate 20 years of “For a Better World”, in addition to the already known Palco Mundo, Palco Galp, Rock Street, Super Bock Digital Stage, Chef’s Garden, ESC Online Sports Bar, Ferris Wheel Pisca Pisca, Slide Pepsi, VIP Area Gato Preto, among others.
