The artist exposes at the LX Factory cultural center the feelings and sensations of his first year living in Portugal.
After debuting in Lisbon, in 2022, the Talante exhibition, which ended up giving its name to the cultural space at the LX Factory of which she is the curator, Ciça Castello returns to the spotlight with new work. This time, the Brazilian photographer, who is also a renowned casting producer, gathered in images the abstract and the sensations that she experienced in this one year living in Portugal. The inauguration will be on March 16, at Espaço Talante, and admission is free.
Through the images, Ciça shows her feeling of freedom and encounter with the world. From the expansion of horizons and the many new seas to be navigated that she finds, with her move to Lisbon with her family.
“I believe this exhibition goes beyond photography. They are compositions that become a narrative. There is a part, for example, where the photos show contrasts such as cities and open spaces, to think about overpopulation. At another point, we have more than 200 images with different colors and visions of photography”, details the artist.
ABOUT CIÇA CASTELLO
Ciça Castello has been a photographer for 20 years. In 2019, she presented her first exhibition in the Brazilian cities of Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro. In February 2022, she had her first exhibition in Lisbon, at the Ler Devagar bookshop. In April 2022, she took her exhibition to Paris at the Foyer of the cinema L´arlequin, where she exhibited her photos together with the presentation at the opening of the festival, the film Pixinguinha, which has the casting signed by her.
