CTB in TMJB with Humidity, by Bárbara Colio
Companhia de Teatro de Braga will be at TMJB with a text by Bárbara Colio, a text metaphor about our World. The staging is by Rui Madeira, and the show will be on stage on the 11th and 12th of February, Saturday, at 9 pm, and Sunday, at 4 pm.
Coming from the other side of the world, She and He, the Other and the Other, One and One, “miss each other” in a hostel in a humid city (Braga, Santiago). Crossroads of traveling lives, trapped by the key to the door. The phobia of the encounter in the frame of the photo and the noise of the washing machine, the desire to ‘perform’ in Skipe, and the loneliness that the drizzle accentuates. Humidity, by Bárbara Colio (Mexico, 1969), is a text metaphor about our World. About the transhumance we live in, looking for the Place. Of our loneliness. In the urgency of frontiers: geographic and memory, fear and astonishment, physical and inner suffering. A text marked by mastery of the word, rhythms, and times. With the knowledge of the practices and the game between drama and comedy. A gift to actors, written by someone who loves them.
Rui Madeira
Rui Madeira is an actor, director and artistic director of the Braga Theater Company. He is a member of the Executive Committee of ETA – Eurasia Theater Association, of the Cultural Council of the Municipality of Braga, and of the Advisory Council of the candidacy of Braga – European Capital of Culture / 27.
