The film “Bem Bom“, by Patrícia Sequeira, about the female music group Doce, which was successful in the 1980s, was one of the cinematographic bets of the Cinemundo distributor for this year, but the plans were changed because of the covid-19, with the premiere postponed to 2021.

In the case of the market-leading NOS Audiovisuais distributor, some of the Portuguese films scheduled for this year were postponed to 2021, and practically without risking a new date.
In the case of this distributor, a plan for Portuguese film premieres had been announced in June until the end of the year, but at least three were postponed: “Amadeo“, by Vicente Alves do Ó, “O som que desce da terra“, by Sérgio Graciano, and “Sombra“, by Bruno Gascon.
Out of this plan, revealed in June, was “Listen“, the award-winning film by Ana Rocha de Sousa, whose premiere was scheduled for 2021, but was anticipated for October, capitalizing on the prizes won in September, at the Venice film festival.
Although with a reduced presence of spectators in the room, “Listen” placed itself at the top of the most-watched Portuguese films this year, with 29,260 entries, according to data from the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual, counted until November 11th.
