Dr. Bayard is looking for the best memories to give voice to grandparents

On the occasion of World Grandparents Day, which is already celebrated on the 26th of July, and following its latest campaign, “Avós do Peito, Avós para Sempre” the candy brand Dr. Bayard is now looking for memories sweetest among grandparents and grandchildren.

It was earlier this month that Dr. Bayard launched a video on her social networks and website that recalls the best moments between a grandfather and his granddaughter, in a heartfelt tribute to the role that grandparents play in their grandchildren’s lives, not just when they are children, but also when they reach adulthood. In this story we can see how the grandfather is the father figure who teaches his granddaughter to ride a bicycle, who helps her with her homework, who explains to her how important it is to always eat all the soup or who reads her a book before bed.

Now – and after also launching a special edition of vintage candy cans with personalized messages for grandparents – Dr. Bayard calls on the brand’s followers and fans to share a short video containing the best memory they have of their grandparents. “This is due to an invitation we received to participate in an entertainment television program, on World Grandparents’ Day, and in which we will have the opportunity to broadcast live the sweet tributes of our community to their grandparents“, justifies Daniel Matias, Director of Marketing of Dr. Bayard e grandson of the company’s founder, Álvaro Matias.

The official thus invites the Portuguese to join Dr. Bayard “to give voice to all grandparents, on a date that has a very special flavor for the brand, bearing in mind that we often associate Dr. Bayard candies with the house and figure of our grandparents”, he adds. In an overview of this recent campaign, which will only end at the end of July, Daniel Matias highlights that “the adhesion exceeded all expectations of the brand, which in the last two weeks has already received hundreds of messages of affection and affection from grandchildren to their grandparents, not only through the dynamics of personalized cans but also on Dr. Bayard’s social networks”.
