It’s official that the Moga Caparica Festival returns in 2025
This edition, Saturday is sold out. The last tickets for Friday and Sunday are on sale
Somone in Senegal will be another city on the Atlantic coast to host the Moga Festival, scheduled for April 2025.
The MOGA Festival organization and the Almada City Council have just announced, in a protocol signed between the two entities, the return of the MOGA Caparica Festival in 2025, with the possibility of renewal for another two years. The 5th edition is thus guaranteed, with a date still to be defined, in the city that embraced the project from the beginning.
According to the councillor of Almada City Council, José Pedro Ribeiro, “The festival is growing noticeably and we are very happy with the investment in the city, a treasure so close to the capital and which must be safeguarded and promoted. We will be here with open arms to welcome the next editions of MOGA Caparica.”
Matthieu Corosine, co-founder of MOGA Festival, concludes “MOGA Festival is a boutique festival that was born in Essaouira and has become a nomadic phenomenon. Leaving Morocco, it made perfect sense to come to the nearest European capital – Lisbon. The choice of Costa da Caparica was immediate: it has beautiful landscapes like Essaouira; It’s like a sister land.”
Matthieu Corosine also announced that, in 2025, MOGA will head to another city facing the Atlantic: Somone, in Senegal. MOGA Somone is scheduled for April this year. In 2024, MOGA Essaouira is scheduled for October between the 2nd and 6th.
The signing of the protocol took place at Borda d’Água, on Morena Beach, the beach that will serve as the stage for MOGA Caparica 24. In 2025 there are still no guarantees that the festival will take place on the same beach, but, for now, João Carreira, owner of Borda d’Água and Waikiki, recalls that “Costa da Caparica is a magnificent place that has yet to be explored and has all the conditions to embrace projects like the MOGA Festival. This festival, in particular, has enormous quality and covers several areas. It was, therefore, a great pleasure when they proposed holding the event in the two concessions managed by me since 1986 (Waikiki) and 1995 (Borda d’Água). We are infinitely expectant.”
The festival, which starts this Wednesday with free activities and parties, is already completely sold out on Saturday, with the last tickets still on sale for Friday (May 31) and Sunday (June 2).
The entire free parties program and mandatory registration are on the MOGA website.
