EDIGMA has just launched “ARA”, the new 100% Portuguese equipment that instantly measures body temperature and detects the use of a mask.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he equipment, consisting of a 7-inch screen, was made from scratch in Portugal with the aim of competing with the Chinese market to safeguard public health in the wake of Covid-19. The objective is to make technology available to all public spaces, namely schools, public buildings, universities, stores, and services, increasing the feeling of security in these places.
According to the company, ARA not only helps to protect those in public spaces but also has visual and audible notifications that warn if there is a non-conformity in terms of temperature or the use of a mask.
The leading Portuguese technology company in the development and production of interactive solutions for the whole world, says it is able to quickly deliver reliable equipment that works as a tool to control and reduce the spread of the virus.
“ARA also avoids the intimidating situation of having someone “point us” at a thermometer, as well as the approach of another person to measure our temperature”, says Miguel Fonseca, co-founder of the EDIGMA group.
EDIGMA estimates that the demand for this type of solution will increase, and plans to penetrate the European market (60%), the United States (30%), and the rest of the world (10%) internationally.

It is recalled that the company’s contribution to the fight against covid-19 started with EDIGMA Sanus, automatic alcohol-gel dispersion equipment that has associated a digital screen to promote awareness or promotional content.
