Entrepreneurship, solidarity and art mark Youth Day in São Brás de Alportel
The International Youth Day, August 12, is celebrated in São Brás de Alportel with a program that celebrates the entrepreneurial, solidary and artistic potential of São Brasense youth.
The program started last Friday, the 7th, with the online transmission, from the Cine-Teatro São Brás, of the first elimination of the Música JÁ Competition, of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ) – Algarve.
This Wednesday, August 12, at 3 pm, the highlight of the program will take place with the inauguration of the Coworking Space of São Brás de Alportel, by the Regional Delegate of the Institute of Employment and Professional Training (IEFP), Madalena Féu.
Located on Avenida da Liberdade, this space is especially aimed at young people in the municipality who want to venture into the world of work with their own projects. A space adapted to accommodate five individual projects that can benefit from administrative support and reception of correspondence, projection equipment for training and other activities, file space, meeting room, pantry and storage, accessible toilet and outdoor nameplate.
This space opens its activity with training among peers within the scope of the “Floresta Nossas” Project, Youth Volunteer Program for Nature and Forests of the IPDJ.
At the same time, Jardim Carrera Viegas welcomes the “Estendal Solidário” initiative, which consists of creating a laundry where the whole community can leave their contribution, that is, clothing or footwear and where everyone can take pieces of the laundry with them. need it. The remaining pieces will be delivered to the Social Store. An initiative of the Social Store of São Brás de Alportel, in partnership with the projects “Young Insurance – Happy Families” and “Our Forests”.
Still at Jardim Carrera Viegas, starting at 7 pm, the photography exhibition “Discovering Paradise” is symbolically inaugurated. A show by Leonardo Marques and which will be on display in the new Coworking Space, until September 12th.
Proposals that celebrate youth in all their potential and that intend to alert to the ways in which each citizen can contribute so that the future of their community is closer, more solidary and prosperous.
