Tonight there will be a Super Moon
On the night of Monday to Tuesday, a pink Super Moon will be visible in the sky.
The Lisbon Astronomical Observatory and NASA announced that the celestial body will be in the Full Moon phase at 4:32 am (11:32 pm in the USA). It is at this time that you will want to be more attentive to the skies, since, after this Super Moon, there will only be one more in 2021, on May 26th.
The Super Moon happens because the Earth’s satellite is in the phase of a full moon, but also because it is at a distance from the Earth below 110% of the orbit perigee. An optical illusion will make the moon appear enlarged. It will also look rosier than usual.
The astronomical event can begin to be seen from 3:30 am on Tuesday. During this month of April, several planets will appear visible to the naked eye at night.
