Europa League: Sp. Braga defeated by Rangers in Glasgow

Sp. Braga went to Glasgow to play the first leg match of the Europa League against Rangers.

Rúben Amorim was close to being able to continue the unbeatable series and put Sporting de Braga but left the field defeated 2-1.

With a goal before the 15th-minute mark and another at the beginning of the second-half the Portuguese team thought was safe and let their guard down. At the 67th minute, Ianis Hagi, shot for the 1-2. And at 75th, it was Joe Aribo that tied the game.

At the 82nd minute, Ianis Hagi took a free-kick, which he deflected over the barrier before, stubbornly, finding his way to the goal in Matheus’ guard and sealing the final result.

In the tenth game, Rúben Amorim thus suffers the first defeat as coach of Sporting de Braga. However, he will have the opportunity to ‘take revenge’ as early as next Wednesday, in Pedreira, where the two goals scored out of doors feed European hope.
