FC Barcelona wins the women’s football Champions League
FC Barcelona won the women’s football Champions League for the first time in their history, when they beat Chelsea 4-0 in the final, in a match played in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The Catalan side, who had lost 4-1 in the 2018/19 final, with Lyon, winner of the last five editions, solved the game in the first half, with Melanie Leupolz’s own goal in the first minute, and Alexia’s goals Putellas, at 14, with penalty, Aitana Bonmati, at 21, and Caroline Graham Hansen, at 36.
With this achievement, FC Barcelona becomes the only European and female champion club.
