FC Porto beats Benfica and wins the SuperCup
FC Porto beat Benfica (2-0), in the challenge to count for the Super Cup Cândido de Oliveira. The dragons add this trophy to the League and Cup of Portugal, won in the past season.
Sérgio Oliveira (25’) opened the scoring in the first half, scoring a penalty to punish Taremi’s overthrow in the area by Vlachodimos. Luis Díaz (90’) put an end to the discussion of the result, minutes after Benfica sent a ball to the post in a free kick by Grimaldo.
With this result, FC Porto won the club’s 22nd Super Cup, the second won by coach Sérgio Conceição.
