The 2nd Arte Dance Valença – International Dance Festival is already this weekend, with the participation of 12 groups and 340 Portuguese and Spanish dancers.
Dance, in its multiple aspects, takes the stage in Valença this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with free access to the public in an event that intends to mark the summer agenda for this month of July.
The festival opens with the first show this Friday, July 7th, in the Municipal Garden, at 21:00.
Saturday, July 8th, between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, shows will take place at Praça da República, inside the Fortress. At 21:00, a great show is scheduled, with all the groups, in the Municipal Garden.
On Sunday, July 9th, between 10:00 and 12:00, the street program will take place in Praça da República.
The following schools participate in this festival: Susana Castro, Unidance, Ldanza, Fita Novas, Attitude, Danzarte, Adeixa, Ldanzia, Escuela de Danza Paradela, Bs Danza, Miriam Pino, and Oosfera.
In addition to the shows open to the public, the event will feature a wide range of activities for the 340 dancers, such as a post-show disco, master class, and water park.
The initiative is from ADEIXA – Associação de Dança do Eixo Ibero Atlântico and has the support of the Municipality of Valença.
