The artist takes the COOLJAZZ stage for the first time on the same day as the legendary Lionel Richie. Filipe Karlsson is confirmed on the 8th of July, where he will present his most recent works, at the Manuel Possolo Hippodrome.
The first night of the 18th edition of COOLJAZZ features the electrifying sounds of young artist Filipe Karlsson and a journey through the long career of Lionel Richie.
In the form of an unpretentious Disco Pop and loaded with Groove, Filipe Karlsson edits for the first time the EP “Teorias do Bem Estar” (2020). In “Modestia à Parte” (2020), the Portuguese-Swedish artist once again brings Disc Pop to his compositions and edits themes such as “Razão” or “A Paragem”. Determined not to reduce the Disco rhythm in his musical universe, Karlsson edited “Mãos Atadas” for 2022, the last EP of this short-lived trilogy.
“An Evening with Lionel Richie” tour takes to the stage of Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais, on the 8th of July. With an unmatched discography of albums and singles, with more than 125 million albums sold worldwide, Lionel Richie was part of the band Commodores as vocalist and saxophonist, where songs like “Easy”, “Three Times a Lady”, “ Still” and “Sail On”. A unique and highly anticipated concert, in the unique setting of COOLJAZZ.
