Frederico Silva eliminated in the US Open qualifiers
Portuguese Frederico Silva, number 180 in the world, was eliminated in the first round of qualifying for the US Open, fourth and final Grand Slam of the season.
The Portuguese tennis player gave way to Poland’s Kamil Majchrrzak (115th) by 1-6 and 4-6, after 1h10 of play.
Pedro Sousa, João Sousa, Gastão Elias and João Domingues are also present in the qualifying phase for the North American tournament.
