Frederico Silva qualifies for round of 16 in Kaohsiung

Portuguese tennis player Frederico Silva qualified for the round of 16 in Taiwan’s Kaohsiung Challenger today, beating Japan’s Yosuke Watanaki in three sets.

Frederico Silva, 246th in the ATP ranking, beat Watanaki, 229th in the world and 15th pre-designated, by 7-6 (8-6), 1-6 and 6-3 after two hours and 12 minutes of game.

In the round of 16, the Portuguese will face on Thursday the Polish Kamil Majchrzak, 84th in the world and first in the series in this challenger.
