Google Maps helps support local restaurants
Google has released updates to Maps on Android and iOS that let users know which restaurants in their vicinity offer take-away and delivery options.
The idea is that when you search for restaurants, you will first come across restaurants that have options other than dining on site. The objective is to help these establishments to remain open, especially when they are expected to be among the main affected by this pandemic.
Engadget says that, at the moment, this feature is only present in the USA, Canada and France but is expected to be available in more territories in the coming days.
