Aníbal Henriques or Hanibal has dedicated his entire life to music, influenced by his family with strong connections to amateur fado. His debut in public and the beginning of his career started very early. Between the ages of 3 and 15 he sang fado.
External influences end up giving it a new direction. He met Ricardo and was invited to join the duo “RICARDO e HENRIQUE”, where he spent 20 years. In 2019, for personal reasons, I left the duo and went to work in another area until the arrival of the pandemic that made him stop.
Eventually, however, the challenge of returning to the stage arises.
“I filled myself with courage…. I decided to accept the challenge and start a new adventure! With a lot of effort, dedication, blood, sweat and tears, I managed to release an EP… An author’s edition, with which I dreamed and desired so much, in a concept and musical register that conveys what I am with each letter I sing. Dreams have no age… My dream is not just to be one more in the musical world, because I love and respect the true essence of music… And I feel that I still have something positive to give to national music and to you, adored public”. – says the artist.
