InterContinental Lisbon was distinguished by IHG® Hotels & Resorts with an Impact Award, due to its exemplary commitment and contribution of excellence to the community.
The Hotel has advanced with impactful actions, both in terms of sustainability and in the local community, having been recognized for all these achievements.
In 2023, InterContinental Lisbon stood out, not only for its commitment to its guests and team but also for its notable commitment to contributing to the well-being of the community. The Hotel demonstrated its true dedication to various community and charitable initiatives, aligned with IHG’s “Journey to Tomorrow” ambition, which aims to improve the lives of 30 million people by 2030.

The recognition of InterContinental Lisbon as the winner of this award is a testimony to the significant impact of the projects it embraces and, at the same time, a source of motivation for the entire team, which works to generate positive changes in the community and the Planet. Reducing carbon emissions and waste, as well as defending Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practices, have been fundamental to the development and success of these projects. As a result, in 2023, the InterContinental Lisbon Team impacted the lives of 1,957 people.
Since the beginning of the year, InterContinental Lisbon has also been recognized as one of the best places to work in Portugal, having previously received two Diversity Seals and an honourable mention by the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion. In the 2023 edition of the Impact Awards, the Hotel was nominated for three other categories, namely, Journey to Tomorrow Impact Award – General Managers, Functional Impact Award – Commercial – Teams & Colleagues Awards and Functional Impact Award – HR – Teams & Colleagues Awards. The team takes these distinctions as drivers to continue Inspiring the Incredible.
