The IHG group’s hotel unit was recently nominated, for the seventh consecutive year, for the “Best City Hotel in Europe” category at the 31st edition of the World Travel Awards. Voting is open to the public from January 4th to February 4th.
Since 2018, InterContinental Porto has been on the short list of nominees for “Best City Hotel in Europe”. The World Travel Awards, considered the “Oscars of Tourism”, are known internationally as a reference of distinction in the industry, celebrating and rewarding excellence in all key sectors of hospitality, travel and tourism.
InterContinental Porto – Palácio das Cardosas has been consistently recognized as a top destination in Europe, thanks to its unique approach to hospitality. The Europe Gala Ceremony 2024, the European awards ceremony, will take place on March 4 in Berlin, Germany. The city of Porto is nominated for “Europe’s Main Urban Destination”, and “Europe’s Main Cultural Destination”, among several other nominations. This year, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is nominated for “Leading Hotel Brand in Europe” and “Leading Business Hotel Brand in Europe”.
Voting for the World Travel Awards is now open to the public, so interested parties can participate in voting via the official World Travel Awards website until February 4th.
