Jamie Cullum the first confirmation on COOLJAZZ

July 31st at the Manuel Possolo Hippodrome, in Cascais

British musician Jamie Cullum is the first confirmation for the 2024 edition of COOLJAZZ. The festival celebrates its 20th anniversary and announces an artist who merges with the festival’s history and the artist’s presence in Portugal. The date is July 31st at the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais.

There are countless classics and interpretations of many other classics that the British genius has already given us. “What a Difference A Day Made”, “I’m All Over It”, “Gran Torino”, “Everlasting Love”, “Don’t Stop The Music”, “High And Dry”, and “These Are The Days”, stand out among many other themes that mark the career of one of the most brilliant musicians in the world jazz family.

20 years of COOLJAZZ. The first edition in 2004 presented an absolutely different summer festival. As the years went by, there were iconic concerts, artists born at the festival, and the public increasingly surrendered to artistic criteria, as well as the comfort of the space. COOLJAZZ has unquestionably become one of the most important cultural events in the country, assuming its differentiation from year to year and focusing on what distinguishes it: a unique cultural lineup, the unique beauty of the green spaces, the enjoyment of the architectural landscape, the comfort of the place marked at a summer festival and the total focus on sustainability from the first hour of its birth. It’s been 20 years of COOLJAZZ, many stories made and many to be made.

“In a special year like 2024, when 20 years have passed since the first edition of Cooljazz, for us it was essential to have someone with a story as close and linked to ours as Jamie Cullum. It’s going to be a great year!”
Karla Campos, director of Live Experiences / Cooljazz

Jamie Cullum became a worldwide phenomenon through the boldness of his approach to jazz, assimilating pop into his music, and making his shows authentic enthusiastic celebrations together with the public. In recent years he has gone even further in terms of expectations and created a radio program on BBC Radio 2, which quickly gained global dimension due to the quality of the radio moment.

The album began to appear in 1999, Heard it All Before and since then he has added other studio records, which have made him one of the most awarded artists of his generation.

In 2024 it’s time to celebrate your career in Portugal together with Cooljazz. The festival takes place during the month of July and celebrates its twentieth anniversary in 2024 since its first edition, precisely in Cascais, in 2004.
