After an impressive decade of hits, sold-out tours and appearances at the biggest festivals, as well as many gold and platinum awards, MI CASA, one of South Africa’s most popular and successful pop bands, fronted by Portuguese vocalist J’ Something (João da Fonseca), now begins the next chapter of his career.
MI CASA have just released their new single “ROCK3T”, an authentic pop diamond with good vibes, easily proving that they compete in a championship of their own. Fans and critics alike wouldn’t expect anything else, after all MI CASA are a guarantee of that special energy – on stage and in the studio! “ROCK3T” is MI CASA’s first release on Universal Music Germany after the trio – J’Something (vocals), Dr. Duda (Producer, Piano) & Mo-T (Trump) – Signed exclusively to Afroforce1 Records/Universal Music Group.
While MI CASA dominated the dance floor with many hits (most recently with YouNotUs on “Chucks”), their sound has now taken on stronger pop influences. The focus remains on the irresistible melodies that MI CASA weave together with strong compositions and, above all, real-life stories.
The new single, “ROCK3T”, has the theme of dreaming big and never giving up. MI CASA was inspired by their long-standing friendship, which strengthened them as artists and always encouraged them. In the official video for their new pop anthem “ROCK3T”, which incidentally was filmed in their home country of South Africa, MI CASA let out old childhood memories and the beginning of all dreams – “One day when I’ m big, I wanna…” – they recall.
“ROCK3T” was created together with Berlin-based production duo TVVINS and has the perfect energy for spring and summer.
