Luv Is A Legacy is the name of Murta’s 2nd album, one of the most captivating voices in national music. After debuting with D’Art Vida in 2019, which included “Porquê,” the mega-hit that propelled the artist into the spotlight, and after releasing several singles in recent years, Murta is back with a full-length project.
This project, which is, according to the artist, “the most important of his career,” marks a new phase in Murta’s career and shows his growth and personal and professional maturation as an author, composer, and producer. The album features artists like Diana Lima, JÜRA, and Rocky, and production names like Stego, L-ALI, Holly, Daus, and Fumaxa, with whom Murta collaborated and co-produced.
Five years after his debut and with over 25 million streams across all platforms, Luv Is A Legacy marks a turning point in Murta’s career. The album is based on the artist’s outlook and not centred on himself, a project about his people that emanates the positivity that will stay with the artist for the rest of his life. This is the final family portrait built by Murta, after overcoming the entire process of highs and lows, all the doubts and certainties, fears and courage that are part of the “birth” of something so intimate and personal.
2023 was marked by the success of tracks like “Tu Sabes.” With over 3 million streams across all platforms, this was a song where Murta collaborated with Diana Lima, having been presented live at the PLAY Awards ceremony and synchronized in the hit TVI soap opera “Cacau.” Still in 2023, “Escuta” was released, a track that recently reached the milestone of 2 million streams. Here, Murta definitively revealed his musical maturity and projected what is the much-anticipated project Luv Is A Legacy.
