Museums, monuments and national palaces reopen from April 5

The progressive decommissioning plan, announced on March 11 by the Government allows, from April 5, in the culture sector, the reopening of museums, monuments, palaces, art galleries and similar spaces.

[dropcap]M[/dropcap]ost of the 25 museums, monuments and palaces supervised by the DGPC have their employees’ rest day on Mondays, although some do so on Tuesday or Wednesday. The opening hours of these cultural facilities will be defined by the respective directions, according to the specificities of each museum, monument and palace, and considering the human resources available on a case-by-case basis.

As long as the obligation to collect from 1 pm on national territory is valid on Saturdays and Sundays, museums, monuments and palaces will only operate during the morning, with free admission for all visitors.

When the confinement is over, and this equipment returns to its normal operating hours, tickets will be paid on Saturdays, and free on Sundays and holidays, all day, for residents in the national territory.
