This Christmas nobody stays alone in Santo António

In a year marked by the growing importance and dimension of cases of loneliness and mental health problems due to isolation that affects young and old alike, the Parish of Santo António (Lisbon) took on the task of helping to combat this scourge and celebrate Christmas Day, in an initiative open to all who want to participate.

In this way, the Laura Alves Social Centre, on Calçada do Moinho do Vento, in Lisbon, will offer a snack with lots of animation and solidarity, between 3 pm and 5 pm on Christmas Day.

“We don’t want anyone alone, on this court” – advanced Vasco Morgado, president of the Parish of Santo António. “We are all a big family of almost 13,000 people and we have to be here for each other” he adds in a comment to this initiative.

This initiative is part of the work and results of the FAROL-Mental Health Project, which the Parish of Santo António created about two years ago, and which warned of an increase in risk situations in the season that is now celebrated, namely on the day itself. from Christmas.

Everyone is invited and the Parish just asks that they bring joy and a good mood.
