Pedro Sousa eliminated in the ‘eighths’ of the Lyon tennis challenger

The Portuguese tennis player Pedro Sousa, the fifth seed in the series, was eliminated in the last 16 of the French challenger tournament in Lyon on clay, losing with Belgian Kimmer Coppejans

Pedro Sousa, 124th in the world ranking, fell against the 166th in the hierarchy in two sets, 6-2 and 6-3, in a clash in which even started each of the parties to break the service to the adversary.

The Luso player could not, however, follow the good start in the two sets, which led 2-0, suffering three consecutive breaks in the first and two in the second.

In the quarterfinals, Coppejans will take on forces with the Swedish Elias Ymer, 140th in the ATP table and fourth seed.
