Portugal Alive takes Conan Osiris, Whales and Reis da Republica to Spain

The sixth edition of Portugal Alive, in September, will lead to Madrid and Barcelona Conan Osiris, Portuguese representative in the last Eurovision, and the bands Whales and Reis da Republica announced the organization today.

The initiative of the Consulate General of Portugal in Spain and Culture Portugal in Spain brings back to this country “the new and the best Portuguese music of today”, on September 20 and 21, can be read in the statement released today.

The statement highlights Portugal Alive’s role in “recognizing and boosting Portuguese music”, with performances by “some of the most respected names in Portuguese music today” in the neighboring country.

Whales and Reis da Republica join Conan Osiris, who won the last Song Festival, for free admission acts that promote Portuguese music to the Spanish and “the approach to the Portuguese community residing in Spain”.

The trio succeeds rapper Capicua, Best Youth duo Surma and Bruno Pernadas, 2018 reps of a festival that kicked off in 2014 with Dead Combo and B Fachada and had names like Noiserv, Linda Martini or Sensible. Soccers, over the years.

The performances in Barcelona are part of the Barcelona Áccio Musical and will take place on September 20th, in Joan Coromnes Square, followed by the Independance Club, on the 21st, in the Spanish capital.
