Portugal beat Belarus for the U-21 European Championship (1-0)
The Portuguese national team in the under-21 division started with the right foot in qualifying for the European in the category, by defeating Belarus, by 1-0, at Estádio José Gomes, in Amadora.
Rui Jorge’s goal was scored by Fábio Vieira, with a penalty kick, in the 32nd minute, punishing a charge in the area of an opponent over André Almeida.
The three points added allow the Portuguese to jump to third place, among six teams, behind Cyprus and Greece, both with four points, but which have one more game.
