Sofia Carson’s Purple Hearts Sets New Record for Netflix

The song ‘Come Back Home‘ from the film’s soundtrack is currently at #19 on the Global Shazam chart and has been included on several official Netflix Spotify playlists.

Netflix’s new movie Purple Hearts has become a smash hit for the giant streaming platform.

Purple Hearts stars Sofia Carson, who plays a struggling singer, and Nicholas Galitzine, a troubled Marine who is forced into a marriage of convenience that eventually turns into a true love story.

This romantic drama garnered close to 102.6 million hours of views worldwide in the week starting August 1. It is, therefore, the most watched movie on Netflix this year.

Sofia Carson wrote several songs for the film’s soundtrack, highlighting the theme ‘Come Back Home‘, which serves as a backdrop to a defining moment in the character’s history. The song is currently at #19 on the Global Shazam chart and has been included on several official Netflix Spotify playlists.

The soundtrack follows the romantic journey of the film’s two main characters: Cassie (Carson), a struggling singer-songwriter, and Luke (Nicholas Galitzine), a Marine with a troubled past. In the film we can hear four original songs, Come Back Home, Blue Side of the Sky, Hate the Way and I Did n’t Know, which are Cassie’s songs subconsciously inspired by Luke, who becomes her source of inspiration.
