“Who is the murderer”? Festival Utopia invites you to solve the riddle
On November 22, at 8:00 PM
Hosted by Mafalda Santos, the Mystery Dinner is part of the programming of the second edition of Utopia, which takes place from November 15 to 24.
A true “Cluedo” board, recreated in real life. On November 22, starting at 8:00 PM, the noble hall of the Braga Business Association will host an immersive experience, challenging participants to embody the characters from the book “Enquanto o Fim Não Vem,” by Mafalda Santos, and to find the answer to one question: “who is the murderer?”. The Mystery Dinner is one of the proposals in the programming of the Utopia Literary Festival, returning to Braga for its second edition, from November 15 to 24.
With the author’s hosting, the activity proposes a recreation of the detective novel, during which, over two and a half hours, the “guests” of this dinner will bring characters like Afonso, Gabriela, or Inspector Lopo to life. Published in 2023, “Enquanto o Fim Não Vem” narrates the mystery surrounding Laura’s murder and the search for the guilty – or guilty parties – revealing, little by little, unexpected layers and possibilities that surprise readers. Based on this narrative, the Mystery Dinner presents itself as a unique experience that will test aspiring detectives.
Mafalda Santos stands out for her eclectic professional activity, working in various fields: from screenwriter for theater and television to director, as well as teaching Acting. In addition to the work that inspires the Mystery Dinner, the Lisbon-based author has already published the books “Conta-me, Escuridão” and “Do Outro Lado,” all edited by Suma de Letras. This year, she published “A História do Coco Que Aprendeu a Ser Ovo,” her first children’s book.
Registrations for the activity are already open, and it is possible to reserve a spot through the link available on the festival website festival-utopia.pt. The ticket has an associated value of 30 euros, which includes the meal for the participants. Reading the book “Enquanto o Fim Não Vem” in advance is recommended to ensure a more immersive experience.
