Rangel shares 100% of the flu vaccine with its employees

Within the scope of its social responsibility, Rangel Logistics Solutions launched a seasonal flu prevention campaign, allowing all employees to have access and get free vaccinations at a pharmacy.

The amount borne by the company covers the total cost of selling the vaccine to the public, with a prescription, as well as the cost of administering the vaccine in a pharmacy.

“At Rangel, since the beginning of this pandemic, we have followed the guidelines of the Directorate-General for Health and adopted preventive measures to ensure the safety of all our employees, customers and partners. At this moment, and taking into account the expected evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic in the coming months, health authorities have defined as essential the vaccination against influenza as many people as possible. It was based on this premise and in order to encourage vaccination that we decided to share the entire cost of the flu vaccine for all our employees.”, Says Nuno Rangel, CEO of Rangel Logistics Solutions.

For this action, Rangel Logistics Solutions established an agreement with ANF – National Pharmacy Association, which allows greater convenience in taking the vaccine, in any of the 2,800 Portuguese pharmacies associated with ANF.

Annually, taking the flu vaccine is recommended by the Ministry of Health before the beginning of winter and is reimbursed only for priority population groups, which include the elderly, pregnant women and health professionals.

This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, flu vaccination becomes even more necessary to avoid the presence of two respiratory viruses and the confusion of flu symptoms with Covid-19 symptoms.
