Sara Correia announces third date at the Lisbon Coliseu
Sara Correia has just announced a new date at Coliseu dos Recreios on March 11th, bringing the concerts she will perform to three in what is her big debut under her name in the most emblematic venue in the country.
Nicknamed “The Fadista of the People”, Sara Correia has had greater visibility since becoming a mentor on The Voice Portugal. “Chelas”, the album’s introductory single, a kind of identity card for the fado singer, recently surpassed one million views on YouTube.
On stage, together with her band – Diogo Clemente on fado guitar and artistic direction, Ângelo Freire on Portuguese guitar, Frederico Gato on acoustic bass and Joel Silva on drums – Sara Correia will present a uniform and cohesive show, but coloured by many distinct colours and textures that result from subtle experiences and influences captured in other genres. All of this fits into Sara Correia’s fado, all of this resonates in her soul that lives fully in this “Freedom”.
At the centre of these two special shows will be the album Liberdade, which unites the traditional canon with the reinvention of this tradition through melodies written by Mila Dores, Joana Espadinha, Pedro Abrunhosa, Nuno Figueiredo, Carminho, Tiago Bettencourt and Diogo Clemente.
