The singer and composer from Rio takes to the Lisbon stage on June 10th, Portugal, Camões and Portuguese Communities Day, for a concert that recalls his successful repertoire across borders.

“We deserve to be happy” is a show to be sung loud and clear, and the countless hits of Ivan Lins, who spans over 50 years, will be sung. At the Tivoli BBVA Theater, the Brazilian artist will talk about his love and respect for life, his country, and the many people who inspired him – and still inspire him – during his long and distinctive career in music.
In Ivan Lins’ repertoire, themes that musicalize love, human relationships, society and politics stand out, having been acclaimed by international critics and the public, who are not indifferent to the laughter of jazz and bossa nova in his compositions.
Ivan Lins entered the history of Portuguese-language music by becoming the first Portuguese-speaking artist/composer to win the Latin Grammy in the “Best Album of the Year” category, in 2005. Since then, Brazilian artists have followed the path of popular Brazilian music in Brazil and around the world and have already won several distinctions.
Practically celebrating 79 years of life, an excellent pianist and laureate singer/songwriter, Ivan Lins returns to the stage at Teatro Tivoli BBVA, on June 10, to show, through the beauty of music, that everyone deserves to be happy.
