Bonfim Stadium, in Setúbal, hosts the biggest children’s festival in the Iberian Peninsula on June 3, 4 and 5. Bárbara Tinoco, Carolina Deslandes, D.A.M.A and Team BRK – Creators of TIK TOK Show perform at Fest4Kids.
Bárbara Tinoco is the latest confirmation of Fest4Kids, the biggest children’s festival in the Iberian Peninsula, with 12 hours of non-stop programming a day that takes place on June 3, 4 and 5.
The Portuguese singer and songwriter, who recently sold out four dates at the Coliseus in Lisbon and Porto, now joins Carolina Deslandes, D.A.M.A and Team BRK Creators of TIK TOK Show, shows already confirmed for the three-day event at Estádio do Bonfim, in Setúbal
Nominated for this year’s Play Awards – Portuguese Music Awards, in the category of Best Female Artist, Bárbara Tinoco was previously distinguished with this award, in 2020, as a New Artist. The Portuguese artist, who became known, in 2018, in the television format “The Voice” when singing the original theme “Antes Dela Dizer Que Sim”, is now the new mentor of “The Voice Kids”, one of the public’s favourite programs. childish.
The Fest4Kids Main Stage will thus receive great references of national music that appeal to kids and adults, with the main concerts scheduled for the end of the day. On June 3, Carolina Deslandes, the national artist who has millions of views on Youtube and who is today one of the biggest references in the digital universe and in contemporary national music, takes the stage at the beginning of the night; on June 4, in the late afternoon, it is the turn of the Lisbon band D.A.M.A to delight with their concert commemorating 10 years of their career; and on Sunday, June 5th, Team BRK Creators of TIK TOK Show bring dance and music to the Main Stage, even before the performance of Bárbara Tinoco.
And because Fest4Kids is synonymous with continuous fun, the festival’s Main Stage also offers every day, Zumba classes early in the morning, followed by musical shows for children, a new one each day of the event.
On the first day of the festival, on June 3, «Da Seiva à Árvore» is the proposal of Fest4Kids, a project with the support of the Directorate-General for the Arts, with the participation of Joana Negrão, Vasco Ribeiro Casais and Rita Nóvoa. It is a workshop show accompanied by an illustrated book, with songs and small pedagogical activities. «Da Seiva à Árvore» is an invitation to the youngest to get to know the traditional music and cultural identity of our country. During the show, children and young people can interact with the artists, ask questions about the instruments, understand how they work, which part of the country they come from and know all the details about the songs presented. An interactive show that appeals to audiences of all ages.
On June 4, it is the turn of the youngest to sing «As Canções da Maria», a children’s project created by Maria de Vasconcelos with the aim of showing children that learning can be fun. In fact, Maria de Vasconcelos dreams of creating a school where the educational system does not put an end to creativity. For this reason, her latest book (CD and DVD) “As Canções da Maria – Especial História de Portugal”, allows parents and children, educators and teachers to learn even more about our History, with songs and rhymes. There are 17 new songs, a poem and four rhymes, in a book that features collaborations by João Só, Nuno Markl, among others. Fest4Kids welcomes Maria, Mathilde, Manon and Mathias, the great protagonists of this show that very recently filled the Coliseums of our country.
On the last day of the festival, June 5th, eyes were set on «Gato Pintor», the musical project by João Monge (Trovante lyricist, founder and responsible for most of the lyrics of Ala dos Namorados) and Manuel Paulo ( collaborated with the Rio Grande and Cabeças no Ar projects and was the founder of Ala dos Namorados). Composed of 14 unreleased songs that portray different realities of any child’s life. The «Gato Pintor» goes up to the Main Stage with a band of professional musicians – Inês Sousa, Mariana Júdice, Sebastião Santos, Sofia Neide and Manuel Paulo – where everyone sings, plays and interacts with the public.
In addition to the programming of the Main Stage, there are numerous activities from the remaining areas of the festival: sports activities, inflatables and trampolines, magic shows, theatres and puppets, gaming experiences and a disco for the youngest. A world without an end to emotions, from the moment of the opening of the doors (10:00h) until the closing (22:00h).
Access to all activities is included in the ticket price. There are 12 hours of fun and entertainment, in an authentic amusement park for the whole family. The 3rd, 4th and 5th of June will be forever in the memory of the little ones… and the whole family!
