Félix da Costa signs for Formula E champion team

António Félix da Costa has signed a contract with DS, the Formula E team that has won the last two editions of the championship, the driver’s press office said today.

For the Cascais driver, being able to join the world champion team “in such a competitive and important category as Formula E is perfect”.

This deal comes after several years of Félix da Costa at BMW, which included a spell at the German Touring Car Championship (DTM).

The new Portuguese team-mate has already publicly “welcomed António”, while Briton Mark Preston, team director, stressed that “it is fantastic” to have the Portuguese in the team.

The next season of the Formula E Championship kicks off with a double day in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, on November 22 and 23 and ends in London, the UK, with another double day on 25 and 26 July 2020.

In all, the calendar includes 14 races.
