A voracious lover of music and songs, Inês Sousa is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist.
She first introduced her compositions to the world with the release of “Tornado” last June, her energetic debut single, followed by “Ainda,” a curse song, which was released as the second single in September.
Now it’s time to lift the veil on her first original work, titled Mikado, which will be released on October 24th with the Louva-a-deus label, along with the third single.
When we hear the word “mikado,” we immediately think of the famous dexterity game we all know. What many don’t know is that “mikado” is also a type of fabric, often used in the making of wedding dresses.
This debut album by Inês Sousa features ten original tracks and two interludes that intertwine stories of love and heartbreak with some more existentialist moments. Everything is created and constructed like a game of dexterity, played by six hands with the accomplices producers and arrangers João “Joca” Correia and António “Tony” Vasconcelos Dias, extraordinary musicians and craftsmen responsible for the fabric of this collection of songs.
