Food Trucks are Safe and Chef Chakall helps at Santarém District Hospital

Food Trucks Factory together with Chef Chakall and several partners were at the Hospital District of Santarém in a solidarity action within the scope of the recently launched Food Trucks Are Safe campaign.

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ood Trucks Factory, a company belonging to the Verso Move Group, a leader in transforming vehicles into Street Food, launched this campaign three weeks ago to support professionals at the forefront in the fight against COVID-19, distributing free coffee, snacks and custard tarts.

In the action carried out between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm, at the Hospital Distrital de Santarém, more than 400 meals were served (300 were initially planned) to the professionals of that health unit, one of the reference hospitals in the fight against COVID-19.

This initiative was supported by Nestlé, Delta Cafés, McVitie’s, Panidor, Garden Gourmet, Paladin, Vitacress, Blue and Président that guaranteed the donation of food. The operationalization had the collaboration of ATM Horsetrucks, Food Trucks Factory, Verso Move, Association Street Food Portugal (ASFP), Designaqui and The Agency.

To promote (and encourage) the recommended good hygiene and safety practices, the initiative also counted on the collaboration of the Miap application, which through a QR code previously enabled the choice of the menu, as well as payment through the app, in a Click & Grab optics with contactless technology.

Chakall, who was in charge of the action preparing meals, ended the day visibly satisfied with the result. “Being able to count on so many partners in an action of this nature is very rewarding. As I often say, we are family, they are more than companies or business partners. They are friends, they are family and together we are always stronger! Special thanks to everyone who made this action possible and answered ‘Present!’ In the first minute! At this very peculiar time, it is important to give back to those who have sacrificed so much to keep us safe and healthy! ”
