António Zambujo celebrates the 10th Anniversary of “Rua da Emenda” with a reissue on colored vinyl
The reissue contains tracks such as "Pica do 7" or "Valsa do Vai Não Vás"
António Zambujo commemorates a decade since the release of the album Rua da Emenda with a special edition on coloured vinyl, available starting this Friday.
This album, which marks the end of an important phase of his career, will be reissued as a tribute to his fans and the musical journey he has explored in recent years.
Rua da Emenda, originally released in 2014, is considered the last chapter of a creative cycle that Zambujo began with previous albums like “Por Meu Cante” and “Quinto.” This work reflects a mature phase of the artist, which includes the collaboration of authors and musicians who have long accompanied Zambujo, such as João Monge, Maria do Rosário Pedreira, Ricardo Cruz, and José Eduardo Agualusa. Other guests such as Miguel Araújo, Samuel Úria, and José Fialho Gouveia join in, bringing new layers to his music.
The album navigates between fado and influences from Brazilian and African music, all aligned with Zambujo’s voice and interpretation. Rua da Emenda features tracks that have remained in the memory of fans, such as “Pica do 7,” composed by Miguel Araújo, and “Valsa do Vai Não Vás,” with lyrics by Samuel Úria.
The special edition of Rua da Emenda on coloured vinyl is a gift for collectors and for all those who follow António Zambujo’s evolution, who throughout his career has managed to unite tradition and innovation. This reissue is more than a keepsake; it is a celebration of an essential chapter in Zambujo’s career.
Next year, António Zambujo returns to Porto and Lisbon, with shows in both iconic venues, the Super Bock Arena on February 14 and the Sagres Campo Pequeno on February 21.
