Pedro Abrunhosa premieres “É Preciso Ter Calma”, a 12-episode podcast with support from DST Group. The conversation with the first guest, Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisbon, is now available.
In the year of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April revolution, which freed the country from a dictatorship that oppressed the Portuguese people for 48 years, freedom in art and freedom of art are central themes. The artist from Porto invites 12 of the most relevant personalities from the country’s cultural, political, economic and scientific areas for a free exchange of ideas that would have been impossible to happen 50 years ago.
“É Preciso Ter Calma” borrows its name from one of the songs in the Viagens lineup, the acclaimed debut album Pedro Abrunhosa, which celebrates three decades this year. Episodes will be released weekly on various podcast platforms and also in video format on YouTube.
“In this podcast, we will talk about Art, politics, economics and, naturally, about freedom – freedom in art, freedom of art. At the end of each conversation, I will perform a song, sometimes chosen by the guest himself, other times a song that I choose myself.”
