Espírito Santo in the next round of the Cup thanks to Cavaleiro

Wolves qualified on Sunday for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after beating Bristol City (1-0).

Since 2003, Wolverhampton has not written such a beautiful story in the FA Cup. On Sunday, the pupils of Nuno Espírito Santo qualified for the quarterfinals of the oldest club competition, 16 years later.

With Ivan Cavaleiro and João Moutinho starters, the only goal of the match was scored by the former Benfica midfielder, after 28 minutes, Doherty’s pass.

Rúben Neves entered the last nine minutes of the meeting at the Bristol City home, and Hélder Costa did not leave the bench.
